We have been travelling in Greece for a month, seeking out the non touristy places. This is by far the best food , service and atmosphere! Nicholas and his sons have a first class place, traditional homemade food at reasonable prices. The Prawns with Chefs sauce is highly recommended. I wish we had found this place sooner so we could come back.

Came here 2 nights in a row. The food and the service were both excellent! Prices were fair and the dishes were big. We had stuffed tomatoes, eggplant, and vine leavs. Also tried 2 different salads that were wonderful, a local sausage, and an amazing sea bass! Everything was delicious and the service was caring and heartwarming. Thank you Marinero Taverna

We really loved this restaurant, the great authentically Greek food, superb service and, of course, George's amazing orange cake. This was possibly the best restaurant food we have had in six visits to Greece, and that's a serious compliment to Marinero.

I drove for two hours from southern Athens to reach this restaurant. Last year, I passed by here and happened to try the shrimp here. It was the most delicious meal I had in Greece, so I've been missing the food here ever since. I came again today, and the taste is still amazing.

We ordered: -prawns with chef’s sauce >> recommandation from the waiter, very good choice; the prawns came peeled, only had the head on. The sauce was indeed tasty, based on mustard and honey (but other things also). Only thing i can mention is that it was a bit salty (not critical, but for those sensitive to salt, might be just slightly too much) -horta -octopus which came with smashed yellow beans (aka fava) >> the octopus was tasty and very tender compared with other ones; i can say it had too much vinegar, but probably that s how they made it that tender. Nevertheless, good, tasty. The staff was friendly, service ok, food good. The restaurant is on the side of a road and sometimes there are locals who drive by with very loud scooters, high speed (not the restaurant’s fault, just mentioning it as a miscellaneous fact).

Really delicious local food and friendly staff! We had a Greek salad, tzatziki and stuffed grape leaves to start - all were fantastic. The mains were also very good and we were surprised with a complimentary dessert. I would highly recommend to anyone staying in the area!

This restaurant was exceptional, All the traditional food (moussaka etc) was all very traditional. The grilled pork chop was grilled perfectly with no burnt pieces, While the inside is still tender and juicy. If you are looking for a true traditional restaurant in Tolo, this is the restaurant.
